The Secretary Team is responsible for organizing the Executive Committee meetings including but not limited to, creating agendas, creating and hosting the Zoom meeting, taking minutes, recording the meeting, and distributing communications about meetings to the entire EC.

The Secretary’s responsibilities include: 

  • Setting up Zoom meetings for monthly EC meetings using SJSU Zoom account
  • Sending meeting reminders to the EC one week prior and the Friday prior to the meeting
  • Maintaining the SLASC EC email contact list by adding and removing members as needed 
  • Recording monthly EC meetings and taking minutes
  • Combining their minute notes with those taken by the Assistant Secretary and submitting them to the Executive Team for review via email
  • Emailing minutes to the EC along with link to Zoom recording and uploading both to the SLASC Google Drive
  • Presenting the Secretary Team report to the EC at the meeting 
  • Contributing items to the monthly newsletter
