The Programming Team is responsible for organizing and running programs. This includes planning 2-3 programs per semester, contacting guest speakers, ensuring events are promoted to membership and the iSchool, and serving as host for programs on Zoom. 

The Assistant Programming Director’s responsibilities include:

  • Attending Programming Team meetings, including event debriefs  
  • Contributing ideas for presenters
  • Assisting with organizing speakers and creating event agendas
  • Serving as point of contact for speakers as needed
  • Publicizing programs to other SLASC EC members and encouraging attendance
  • Attending programs and assisting with program execution, including hosting, moderating the chat, assisting with tech, and offering hospitality and welcome to presenters and attendees
  • Following up with presenters and SLASC EC teams after programs to disseminate post-program materials, including managing registrant contact list for sharing with other SLASC teams and sending thank you’s to presenters
  • Attending monthly Executive Committee meetings
  • Supporting the work of the Programming Team through collaboration and effective communication
