A: Disney, Apple, the Mayo Clinic, MoMA, Yale University, NASA, Sonoma County Wine Library, the Smithsonian, National Public Radio, and the Gates Foundation — hospitals, law firms, university libraries, museums, archives, research institutions, non-profits, sports apparel manufacturers, government, their own private firms… In short — everywhere.
Q: What do special libraries do?
A: Support patient care and legal research, manage digital assets, manage material assets, index and collect sound files, run research libraries, manage archives and artifact collections, deliver corporate intelligence and business research, consult in any of the above fields… In short — everything.
