The Membership Team is responsible for the administration and delegation of access to the SLASC email account, running the mentorship program, and running EC elections. The Membership Team is responsible for outreach from the SLASC email account including post-event emails, new member notifications, and contacting potential members, and management of the SLASC email inbox. 

The Assistant Membership Director’s responsibilities include:

  • Receiving training on how to recruit, vote, and onboard new EC members, and managing one election per semester as schedule allows
  • Receiving training on the Mentorship program from the Membership Director
  • Monitoring the SLASC email inbox on a rotating basis
  • Working with Communications Committee on alumni relations
  • Helping onboard, train, and oversee the Second Assistant Membership Director
  • Attending monthly Executive Committee meetings 
  • Attending SLASC programs when possible
