Maintains SLIP WordPress site including performing WordPress updates, creating and curating web content, and adding upcoming events to the website.
- Develops a web presence for the organization by looking for opportunities to expand and improve SLIP’s website, with an emphasis on web accessibility and usability.
- Implements website reorganization and information architecture changes as needed to best suit the needs of the Student Chapter and its users.
- Responsible for managing the user accounts on the WordPress website.
- Effectively leads the Web Team on special projects and delegates regular tasks to Assistant Webmaster.
- Follows all guidelines designated by the SJSU Use of University Servers policy.
- Potentially undertake projects related to WordPress theme updates, so a working knowledge of theme customization, web accessibility guidelines, and semantic structure is preferred.
