ALA President Maureen Sullivan and President-elect Barbara Stripling invite library and information school students to join them for an interactive Student Virtual Town Hall Meeting Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 PM Central time (8:30 PM Eastern, 6:30 PM Mountain, 5:30 Pacific).
President Sullivan and President-elect Stripling will provide updates on current initiatives and activities that are crucial to the future of the profession and the association. This is great opportunity to learn about how ALA is addressing major issues such as leadership, access to digital content, the crisis in school libraries, community engagement, and more. In addition, hear the leaders discuss re-imagining ALA, the role of library students and new professionals, and the new membership dues proposal.
