The ALASC is hosting an informal and relaxing chat about topics on library science tomorrow. Please join us for some interesting discussions and networking – don’t forget to brew up your favorite tea and/or coffee! 😀 Also – have a happy and spoOoOoOoOoky Halloween!!

Topic: What does Library Science mean to you?

When: November 1, 2017 3:00-4:00pm PT

Where: The ALASC Collaborate Room –   https://sas.elluminate.com/d.jnlp?sid=2011274&password=D.1DE8BD4F5689D26E3D81743758D07E

The November/December 2017 issue of the iSchool Descriptor will have the theme: what does Library Science mean to you? Before the submission deadline, November 30, join us for an informal discussion in which we grab a cup of our favorite beverage and talk about how we view and relate to Library Science.

Questions to Consider: What sets LIS apart as a distinct discipline?  What do all LIS tracks have in common?  Why did you choose to earn a degree in LIS? What should define the field moving forward?

Take a break from your work week with a beverage and a thought-provoking discussion with fellow ALASC members! If you are interested, please fill out the Google Form so we may remind you about the event.
