What is your role on the Executive Committee?
I am the Vice Chair on the ASIS&T Executive Committee and have recently taken on some Webmaster duties upon the graduation of our former Webmaster as well. I assist the Chair and am representing ASIS&T in the Convocation Committee.
What is your focus/pathway during your time at the iSchool?
I am still taking my core classes but am interested in academic libraries, metadata, and data collection and retrieval. However, I want to explore a wide range of topics and not limit the possibilities.
What do you enjoy about being on the ASIS&T Board?
Besides gaining valuable leadership and teamwork skills, being on the ASIS&T board makes me feel connected with others in this program. You meet people with similar interests as you and learn about contemporary topics in the industry.
What are three fun facts about you?
- I once fell down a spiral staircase during an earthquake. That really hurt!
- One of my goals/dreams is to build my own harpsichord
- I am obsessed with Germany’s national soccer team. So excited for the 2018 World Cup!
