Last Wednesday, November 15th, Events Co-coordinator Eori Tokunaga took us on a thrilling international library tour, where we visited awe-inspiring libraries such as the Toronto Public Library in Canada, Tianjin Binhai Library in China, and the Centro de FotografÃa de Montevideo in Uruguay. We’ve learned how adventurous our participants are in mentioning some of their favorite libraries around the world they’ve been to such as the Widener Library at Harvard, Downtown Los Angeles Library, Boston Public Library, British Library, Chicago Public Library, Trinity College in Dublin, and the Deichman Bjørvika in Oslo.
We were also lucky to be joined by our amazing former Webmaster, Sabrina Gunn, who shared her experience as a 2023 Library of Congress Junior Fellow at the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center. Sabrina talked about her work on The American Archive Public Broadcasting Digital Preservation project and gave great advice to people interested in the LoC 10-week Fellows internship. Thank you so much, Sabrina, for joining us!
