Say something great about the SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter!
Showcase your writing skills and enter the SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter Essay Contest. The winning essay will provide insight into the purpose, activities, and membership benefits of the SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter. The contest is open to all students enrolled in San José State University.
The winner will receive $50.00 in cash and a 1-year paid ASIS&T student membership as well as be featured on the Student Chapter’s website and social media sites.
Essay Criteria:
Content
- Describe the SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter
- Express what ASIS&T means to you
- Explain the benefits of being a member of the SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter
- Be composed of at least 250, but no more than 500, words in length
Format
- .doc, .rtf, or .pdf
- Save file name [last name][first initial]_essay.[file type ext]
All essay packet submissions must include:
- The essay, as stipulated in the Essay Criteria above
- A portrait photograph of the person submitting the essay
Submit your essay packet to sjsuasist@gmail.com, including your name, the e-mail address by which you wish to be notified, the name of the degree that you are earning, and your essay title.
All submissions must be received by 11:59pm PST on May 1, 2012.
The winner will be revealed on May 9, 2012.
All submissions will be reviewed by the SJSU ASIS&T Essay Contest Committee.
