TONIGHT 10/24: SLIS Faculty member Dawne Tortorella on Social Media

Join us on October 24th from 6-7 pm PST as SJSU SLIS Faculty member Dawne Tortorella discusses “Using Social Media Strategically in your Library or Organization.”

Abstract: There are subtle and not-so-subtle differences between personal, professional, and organizational use of social media. We will look at integrating social media into library and information services. Tips for measuring engagement and managing social spaces in a team environment will be shared.   And of course, we hope you will have some fun stories to share – like my almost accidental tweet about hashish. (You have to be there to hear that story).

Dawne teaches Web and Social Media Analytics at SLIS, and is the owner and founder of BellCow, Inc., a technology consulting firm. See her SJSU profile at: http://slisapps.sjsu.edu/facultypages/view.php?fac=tortorellad

We can’t wait to hear more about this hot button issue!
