The Second Life Mixer will include a personalized business card exchange! Network with fellow SLIS students by creating your own personalized business card prior to the event and exchange it with those you meet at the event. Use SJSU ASIS&T’s notecard instructions to learn how to make a notecard in Second Life as well as view a sample personalized business card.
Don’t miss out on meeting your classmates and making new friends. There will be a raffle with five lucky winners each receiving a $10 Amazon gift card! Come join us for fun and more.
For those new to Second Life, additional assistance will be provided from 5:30-6:00pm (PST), 30 minutes prior to the event, on March 22, 2012.
Need help navigating in Second Life or want to practice your skills? Come to our Pre-Mixer Second Life Tutorial on Monday, March 19, 2012, 6-7pm (PST), at the VCARA Senate in Second Life: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SJSU%20SLIS/104/27/33. We will teach you how to talk, walk, run, fly, private chat, and make notecards.

Mac Users may find it easier to use the Phoenix Viewer in Second Life. After setting up your avatar, download the Phoenix Viewer at http://www.phoenixviewer.com/ and then log in through the Phoenix Viewer.
