Professor Patty Wong discussed the SJSU School of Information’s LIBR 282 course, Grant Writing and Alternative Funding Resources, which she has taught for the past 7 years. She also presented her experiences on grant writing and alternative funding as a practitioner with hundreds of successful grants.

An Introduction to Copyright and Digital Technology for Librarians

Our 1976 Copyright Law is a poor fit with digital technologies that have developed in the past 30 years. We will look at places where the conflict is most acute, consider what aspects of the law are especially problematic, and discuss ways to encourage digital research and teaching within the confines of the law as it stands.

Virtual Student Technology Fair

SJSU ASIS&T was excited to host its first ever Virtual Student Technology Fair.  Representatives from campus IT Services and Academic Technology spoke about a number of popular software downloads and apps and the support and training resources available to students. Student success stories with using the platforms were also shared.
