The San Jose State University Student Chapter of the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) will be holding its next online meeting on Friday, July 13th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm PST.
Attendance and membership are open to all SJSU SLIS students. All meetings are held virtually in a recorded Collaborate session. Our Student Chapter is growing quickly; come check us out!
July’s meeting will feature an informal discussion about Pew Research Center’s findings and ongoing studies about people and their interactions with the internet, technology, and libraries led by Jennifer Gibson, Student Chapter Chair. Jennifer attended a presentation by Pew researchers at the 2012 ALA Spectrum Institute in Anaheim, CA.
Come and join us to learn more about ASIS&T, opportunities for committee work, chapter activities, and programs for the upcoming year. Membership in ASIS&T promotes professional development, networking, career development goals, and leadership opportunities in the information community.
