About the Event
The San Jose State University ASIS&T Student Chapter is proud to present our first in a new series of invited speaker presentations on technology trends in the library world. This inaugural event will feature Michael Levine-Clark from the University of Denver discussing Ebooks and demand driven acquisitions in academic libraries.
Over the last decade, academic libraries have moved increasingly toward ebooks as the preferred format type for monographs. This has been a somewhat difficult transition, but is one that offers tremendous opportunities. This presentation will outline some of these difficulties, explore opportunities, and describe a future in which ebooks have reached their potential.
