Speaker Bios
Alex Vancina
Alex has worked in public libraries for over 15 years and is currently the IT Services Manager for the Helen Plum Memorial Library in Lombard, Illinois. He graduated from the SJSU iSchool with an MLIS in December, 2017.
Tamarack Hockin
Tamarack Hockin is the Collection Services Librarian for Fraser Valley Regional Library (Canada) and a 2017 SJSU alumna. While at SJSU, Tamarack was the Social Media Coordinator and then Chair for the ASIS&T Student Chapter, as well as Editor-in-Chief for the iSchool’s peer-reviewed Student Research Journal. Tamarack is still involved with ASIS&T as a part of their New Leaders program, and is Chair Elect for ASIS&T SIG-DL (Digital Libraries).
Kelley Presley
Kelley graduated with her MLIS in December 2017. While at SJSU, she served as SJSU ASIS&T’s Social Media Coordinator. She lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and her son, where she works as a Learning Technology and Evaluation Assistant for Financial Health Institute in Denver.
Lauren Frazier
Lauren Frazier is the Membership Director of the ASIS&T Executive Committee. While at SJSU, she is focusing on public librarianship through the lens of adult literacy and information literacy.
