What kind of events do you want us to organize?

Hello SLIS Students! ALASC (American Library Association Student Chapter at SJSU) is seeking input about what kind of events you would like us to organize! ALASC exists to serve all SLIS students, no matter where you live in the USA or in the world. Your ALASC board members are here to help you connect with other SLIS students in your region. Please fill out this survey to help us serve you better!

If you would be willing to host or help organize an event, please let us know on the survey! We will assist you with the event, including planning, promotion and registration details. This is an opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills, meet other SLIS students and have fun connecting with a local library or organization.

Events could include (but are not limited to!):

  • Professional networking events
  • Library Tours

·    Skill-sharing events

·    Volunteer or community events

·    Library events

·    Study groups

  • Social events (trivia night, cocktail hour, coffee, lunch, book readings)

ALASC is here to support all SLIS students. How can we be of support to you as an online student? How can we help foster connections between SLIS students in your area? Let us know!
