LITA Offering Two Web Courses in August

The Library and Information Technology Association (LITA) is offering two Web-based courses in August:

  1. Building Web Applications with HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript: An Introduction to HTML5, presented by Jason Clark of Montana State University Library.
  2. Getting Started with GIS, presented by Eva Dodsworth, geospatial data services librarian at the University of Waterloo Map Library.

Building Web Applications with HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript: An Introduction to HTML5 will consist of four live lectures held from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. CDT on Aug. 6, 8, 10, and 13, with additional self-paced modules in Moodle.

Getting Started with GIS is a three-week course that will run Aug. 13 – Sept. 4 and consist of weekly asynchronous lectures and modules in Moodle.
