Hello and Happy New Year to all of our SJSU ALASC members!
ALASC wants to share that there will be a 2021 ALA Midwinter Event on Monday, 1/25 at 1pm CST hosted by students for students. Librarian Lounge: A Student Networking Session is a chance to recap what we have all learned from the conference, connect with fellow students/colleagues from around the country, and network with mentors in the field.
If you have not already, please be sure to register for the 2021 ALA Midwinter conference! This virtual conference is free for ALA student members; and the deadline for registration been extended from today, Friday, January 15th, 2021, to Monday, January 19th, 2021 at 11:59pm CST. The conference is scheduled for January 22 -26, 2021; and the numerous presenters include authors Joy Harjo and Ibram X. Kendi, as well as future First Spouse Dr. Jill Biden! Follow theses links to more info about featured speakers and meeting & exhibit schedules.
ALA Members who have recently been furloughed, laid off, or are experiencing a reduction of paid work hours are invited to register at no cost as well.
