Cast your vote for ALASC board!

Attention All SLIS Students and ALASC Members!

The ballot for the SJSU American Library Association Student Chapter (ALASC) is now open to elect fellow students for leadership roles of our student-based association for the 2014-2015 school year. We have a full ballot with nominations for the following positions:

Chair (1 nomination) 
Co-Chair/Webmaster: (1 nomination)
Social Media Manager: (3 nominations)
Secretary (1 nomination)
Descriptor Editor (Newsletter): (2 nominations) 
Virtual Program Coordinator: (1 nomination)
Program Outreach Coordinator: (1 nomination) 

Elections are open now and will close on Saturday, April 19th.

All SLIS students are members of ALASC and are encouraged to vote! In order to complete the ballot, you will need to be registered for the ALASC Site through D2L. It’s easy to register if you have not already done so.

Here are the steps to access the ALASC D2L site and the Election Survey:

 

1) After logging into D2L, click on the “SLIS ePortfolio and Community Groups Portal” under “No Semester” on your student tab page.

2) After entering that site, click “SLIS Community Sites” in the blue course navigation bar.

3) In the table of “Self Registering Course Offerings” click “American Library Association Student Chapter (ALASC).”

4) Click “Register.”

5) Confirm the information and then click “Submit.”

You can reach the ballot via the survey tab in the ALASC D2L site or via the link posted at the top of the main page.
