Lea Lim
Hi, I’m Lea, and I’m the President of the UX Student Group. In the past year I served as the group’s Co-Chair/Treasurer and interim Secretary. I am in my sixth and penultimate semester of the MLIS program, with elective classes focused in Data Science and Information Architecture. In the past two semesters I was also in the Library Technology Integration (LTI) Lab, which provided me with experience in user research, usability testing, and an enriching experience with my team. In my spare time I like to read, hang out with my 4 cats, and volunteer at my local cat rescue or local Friends of the Library organization. Although my UX experience is limited to my time in the program, I hope to deliver relevant and meaningful experiences to the executive committee and members in the coming semester.
Christopher Dixon
Hello, I’m Chris, the Vice President and Co-chair of the UX Student Group. I’m in my junior year of college and currently have 1.5 years left in my ISDA program here at SJSU. I plan to use my studies and work experience at NVIDIA to further my career in data and hopefully grow into a Data Engineer role one day. I enjoy the outdoor life, movies, and golf. I hope to apply my data analytics skills to our club to help benefit it and look forward to working with you all.

I am Blog Editor for the UX Student Group, and a current graduate student in the San Jose State University’s Master of Library and Information Science program in 2026. I graduated from University of California, Davis with undergraduate degrees in 2022.
Amy Rich
Hi there – it’s Amy here! I’m partnering with Sonia as an Event Coordinator for UXSG this semester. I’m rounding out my first semester of the Master of Library and Information Science program, and so excited to bring usability events and activities to your calendar. I spent four years as a project manager for a healthcare software company, and am so excited to have more time for the things I love–a good book, my cute nieces and nephews, and listening to kpop. Francez Gabrielle Urmatan
Hi! My name is Francez and I am ½ of the Social Media Coordinators for UXSG. Currently, I work in Riverside County as a Library Associate at a small-town library while pursuing my MLIS. I do website design on the side, but I used to be a UX researcher in the music tech industry! Someday, I hope I can work for a school library. In my free time, I like to walk with my dog, Sesame, play video games, collect vintage cassettes and CDs, and build Gundam plastic models.
