Meet the 2023-2024 Leadership Team: Jenn Hunter, Social Media Coordinator

Hello everyone! I’m Jenn Hunter, the Social Media Coordinator on the UX Student Group leadership team at SJSU’s iSchool. I’m currently in my second year of the graduate program.

I plan to graduate in December 2024 and am thrilled to be part of this community.

I am passionate about designing spaces that enhance the user experience with a creative approach focusing on the user experience.

With a diverse background in travel, marketing, graphic design, tech, and printing, I have the skills and knowledge to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. I have a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Arizona, focusing on communication, French, and marketing, which equips me with a robust foundation in humanities, languages, and business.

Recently, I completed an enriching 8-month internship at Saratoga Library with the Santa Clara County Library District, where I contributed to the Adult/Teen Reference Desk. This hands-on experience exposed me to various facets of a public library, from collection management and reference interviews to program creation and community outreach.

These experiences sharpened my skills and strengthened my dedication to making a positive impact through library services.

Being part of the UXSG aligns perfectly with my commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and promoting effective communication within professional networks. I’m excited about the journey ahead and the opportunities for growth and collaboration within this dynamic community.
