ALA Student Chapter Seeks a Program Outreach Coordinator for Spring Semester
The Program Outreach Coordinator focuses on creating professional development and networking opportunities for students regardless of their regional location. This would be done by: acting as the liaison with ALA and building collaborations with other student chapters and organizations. These collaborations could include (but are not limited to) staying in contact with the ALA Student Chapter Office, hosting virtual and in-person meet ups with other student chapters and organizations, representing ALASC at the MidWinter and/or the Annual conferences, etc. Experience working on other student or professional boards desirable but not required.
The award winning ALA Student Chapter at SJSU was founded in 1994 and is the 42nd student chapter of the ALA. In 2014, we won the Student Chapter of the Year Award. We provide excellent programming and events for all students of the iSchool.
Come and join our board!
