On Tuesday, February 28, ALASC’s Events Team kicked off its first trivia night of the year, “In the Public Library.” In five rounds of five questions, teams were tested on their knowledge of quotes, characters, and other tidbits in the categories–Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Young Adult, Anime/Manga/Comics, Picture Books, and a Shakespeare bonus round.
Collectively, teams killed the Anime/Manga/Comics and Fantasy rounds! Shoutout to all the Tolkienites and Potterheads. However, the Young Adult round trumped us all. Who knew Crave by Tracy Wolff is Amazon’s best-selling young adult book? We didn’t!
At the end of the five rounds, Team Five came in first place with twenty points and claimed the $5 Starbucks gift cards. Team Two came in a very close second with nineteen points, and Teams One and Four tied for third place with seventeen points.
