Web-based Information Science Education (WISE) is,
“A collaborative distance education model that will increase the quality, access, and diversity of online education opportunities in Library and Information Science.” (wiseeducation.org)
WISE offers multiple alternative classes from a variety of participating Univsersitys. Some of the classes offered through WISE are not avaliable through SJSU SLIS such as these previously taught course: Museum Archives, Fantasy and Speculative Fiction and Behavioral Perspectives.
