Hi there!

I’m Alex and I’m the incoming blogging coordinator. I’m looking to expand our coverage by involving you! Yes, you! We’re looking forward to hearing your voice. This post is a call for guest bloggers for a one-off piece.

If you have something you’ve always wanted the world to know about regarding LIS, here’s your chance! We’re also interested in any alumni that would be willing to write about their experience in the field. Also, any hobbies that you can apply your LIS knowledge to, or esoteric LIS related topics are also appreciated! Some examples include but are not limited to:

  • A museum’s preservation work
  • Alumni working in any sector relating to information professionals
  • Cataloging for art studios or other nonstandard environments
  • Local or regional conference experiences
  • Maintaining a library in harsh geographical or climatic environments
  • How to be a librarian in the apocalypse
  • Anything you find interesting or important in the MLIS field.

You can contact me directly at Alex Guo <alex.guo@sjsu.edu> for more information and to send your ideas. I can’t promise to respond to all emails but I’ll do my best. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Best,
Alex
