2015 Internet Librarian Conference

  • Post category:Events

Thanks to Jean Bedord for this announcement.

Good news!  Information Today, the organizer of Internet Librarian Conference 2015, is again  generously extending a special rate to SJSU School of Information for this annual conference. The theme this year is “Morph:  Exploring New Roles & Directions for the Info Service Biz”. The full 3 day conference is $499 for Early Bird registration and $549 after Sept. 25.  Full program is at http://internet-librarian.infotoday.com/2015/

However, the student discount  rate is $99 for the conference.  Start by downloading the registration PDF below. Complete it and adjust the price to $99, write SJSU Student on it and fax it to NancyNellor at 609-654-4309. She’ll take care of the rest. If you need more information, contact her at the main office number at 609-654-6266 or 800-300-9868. Email is: nellor@infotoday.com
Faculty and staff can get a reduced rate of $369 since SJSU is a sponsor and friend of the local Silicon Valley chapter of SLA. Just register by the Early Bird deadline of September 25 and use the following link and code. There is also a special rate of $109 for the Internet@Schools Track (October 2627) instead of $199 and
$649 for Library Leaders Digital Strategy Summit instead of $699
Use 15SEF as  priority code for discount.
Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to identify current  trends and issues, plus meet other information professionals active in the field. This is  my favorite conference, which I’ve been attending for over ten years.  We had a great student turnout last year, and hope to see many of you there.  There will be an iSchool Reception on Monday, October 26 at the Monterey Marriott, a fabulous opportunity to meet local alumni and faculty.
Hope to see you there!
