Hello, I’m Claire.  I’m the UXSG President and former UXSG Events Coordinator.  I’m following the Web Programming pathway as I complete my MLIS; in addition to user experience, my interests include programming, library systems, and special collections.  My decision to study librarianship came from a wish to make learning resources more readily accessible.  Right now, my professional goal is to make information and resources more accessible by means of intuitive technologies.

Hi, I’m Lea and I serve as the Treasurer and interim Secretary for the group. I am in my second year of the MLIS program and I am taking classes from both the Data Science and Information Organization pathway. I previously graduated from SJSU’s MS Informatics program in 2024 and decided to pursue the MLIS program after discovering classes in the course catalog that I felt supported my educational and personal goals. This year I will be interning at SJSU’s LTI Lab along with 2 other UXSG officers, working on immersive simulated environments and supporting the UX team leaders. UX and accessible design has always been a special interest of mine while working on my BFA, and I am glad to be part of a group who shares the same passions as mine.

Hi there! I’m Erica and I am Social Media Co-Chair with Diana! I am currently in my third year at the iSchool and am hoping to graduate by the end of 2026. I have spent the past ten years working at a public relations agency for video game developers and publishers and love gaming. I had been looking for ways to combine my interests and professional experience and User Experience seems to be a great fit for me. I’ll be spending my final year of my MLIS focusing on UX, VR development, and emerging tech and am excited to learn together with the UXSG!

Hello! I’m Diana, and I am part of the Social Media team for UXSG. I’m currently in my fourth semester of my MLIS journey, here at SJSU. Before I decided to transition to librarianship, I worked as a graphic designer for many years. I’ve always centered my designs around user experience and accessibility, before I knew it was called User Experience, so I hope to share everything I’ve learned so far and continue learning alongside everyone.
