San Francisco Bay Region Chapter Conference Travel Stipend Award

Deadline February 15, 2015

This award may be granted to a student member of the chapter who demonstrates interest in and involvement with the SLA organization and particularly the SF Bay Region chapter to support them in attending the SLA Annual Conference.

Awardees will be granted a stipend of up to $750 to cover costs associated with attending the SLA Annual Conference.  Those costs are understood to include conference registration, airfare, and hotel.  The Board will consider other expenses with written documentation.  Awardees will be granted the stipend on award, but will be required to document relevant expenses with receipts, per the post-award requirements.  The awardee will be required to return the stipend in the event they are unable to attend the conference or fulfill any of the post-award requirements.

The Chemistry Division of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) is sponsoring a $1,500 student/new member travel award $1,500 stipend to attend the 2015 SLA Annual Conference.

Diane K. Foster International Student Travel Award

The Science-Technology Division (DST) of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) annually collaborates with an SLA Chapter outside of Canada and the United States to sponsor a travel award for library school students or early career professionals of the collaborating Chapter.

S. Kirk Cabeen Travel Stipend Award

The S. Kirk Cabeen Travel Stipend Award is offered to a library school student or first time conference attendee. This award is to be used toward expenses of attending the SLA Annual Conference.

Professional Grants and Student Stipends — Business & Finance Division

The Business & Finance Division offers professional grant awards and student stipend awards to help cover expenses at the SLA Annual Conference. The Division will award student stipends and professional grants for a total of up to six $1,500 awards.

The Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division Travel Award

The PHTD Travel Award, or Student Travel award, is a stipend given yearly to a library science student or member of the Pharmaceutical and Health Technology (P&HT) Division who would like to attend the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual Conference and/or the PHTD Spring Meeting. Up to three P&HT travel award stipends will be awarded each year, based on the quality if a project submitted to the Division. Full details are available. PHTD has also sponsored the European Division’s travel award ECCA Early Career Conference Award.

SLA Engineering Division Student Travel Stipend

SPIE Digital Library is sponsoring for library school students the award of a $1200 travel stipend toward payment of expenses incurred while attending the annual Special Libraries Association conference in Boston, MA, June 14-16, 2015. SPIE Digital Library is the world’s largest collection of optics and photonics applied research.
