The student chapter of the Society of American Archivists is an organization for MLIS and MARA students in the School of Information (iSchool) at San José State University. 

SAASC strives to promote archival interests in our academic community, to provide a platform for discussing archival issues, and to engage students in professional activities in order to enhance career development.

As an official student chapter of the Society of American Archivists, we are connected to the knowledge and resources represented by our parent organization and its members. The Society of American Archivists is North America’s oldest and largest national professional association dedicated to the needs and interests of archives and archivists. SAA represents more than 6,200 professional archivists employed by governments, universities, businesses, libraries, and historical organizations nationally.
