Are you interested in the world of archives and archival publications? Can you spot grammatical errors a mile away? Are you intrigued by the editorial process and ready to work on a great team and gain experience? Look no further! Archeota is looking for associate editors!
Archeota is the official publication of the Society of American Archivists Student Chapter at San José State University. This open access digital publication serves as a platform for students to join the archival conversation. It is published twice a year in fall/winter and spring/summer and is available on SJSU Scholarworks. The inaugural issue of Archeota was published in spring 2015.
Associate editors work regularly and collaboratively with the managing editor and the Archeota editorial team to proofread, fact-check, and edit articles submitted by students.
Requirements:
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
- ability to meet deadlines
- editing and proofreading skills
- ability to synthesize content
- communication skills
- research and fact-checking skills
Preferred experience:
- familiarity with digital copyright
