The William F. Cody Archives is a joint project between the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This digital archive allows researchers to follow the life of Buffalo Bill Cody and his generational impact on the American West.
Topics addressed in the archive range from Buffalo Bill’s biography, to his European travels with his Wild West show, and even information about his performers like the Lakota and the Rough Riders. Though there is not a physical facility to visit, this digital repository has a wealth of interesting artifacts and photographs.
For example, this poster from 1874 …
… and even this souvenir album from a visit with Queen Victoria.
