Cybersecurity Awareness Month – observed every October – was developed with the purpose of raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and ensure that all individuals and organizations have the information and tools they need to be safer and more secure.

This year, our campus is focusing on the next generation of security through AI usage. Cybersecurity can seem overwhelming, but remember, there are many ways to keep your data and online presence protected. Whether on the job, at home or at school, you can make a huge difference – now and in the future.

Throughout the month of October, SJSU will host events that include guest speakers and contests with swags and prizes. Please see our NCSAM page for more event and resource information!

RSAC College Day: Fostering the Next Generation in Cybersecurity

When: Thursday, May 9, 2024
Where:
Moscone Center, San Francisco
Who:
Current College Students and 2023 Graduates

Free

It’s estimated that there are more than 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs across the globe, according to Cybersecurity Ventures. And the number of bad guys isn’t exactly decreasing, either. That’s why we need you, aspiring cybersecurity professionals.

RSA Conference is the world’s largest cybersecurity event and the meeting point for cybersecurity’s most accomplished innovators and experts. So, whether you’re a current student or recent 2023 graduate, our annual College Day is the place to explore this field, hear from the best, and gain insight into what’s next, who’s hiring, and even get your resume reviewed.

You’ll receive a free, one-day pass for Thursday, May 9 that gives you access to dozens of sessions and keynotes plus two tailored experiences just for you.

Learning Labs and Birds of a Feather are not open to RSAC College Day Pass holders. The Closing Celebration is open to all pass types. Priority will be given to Full Conference Pass and Expo Plus Pass holders, with limited seating available for College Day Pass and Expo Pass holders.

Participation Requirements

RSA Conference requires all students attending RSAC College Day to show proof of current student status by doing one of the following.

  • Register using an .edu email address
  • Provide a copy of current class schedule with valid student ID or proof of 2023 graduation.

The conference is for four days, but it can be pricey. The College Day is free for students.

If you are planning on attending, let us know on Discord! We can meet up as a club at the event!
