My name is Amritha Jayasankar<\/strong>, and I\u2019m Secretary<\/strong> of the UX Student Group @ the iSchool. I currently work at a public library, but my background is in Microbiology. I worked as a Food Microbiologist in a lab and then a food safety auditor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I decided to make a change in my career, which led me to explore User Experience and learn about it on my own. I also quit my lab job and started working part time at a public library. I became interested in User Experience in Libraries and wanted to be involved in learning more about this specific field, which led me to the UX group.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My goals are to gain skills that will equip me to solve issues that public libraries face with a UX perspective. At my work, I\u2019m always thinking of how we serve those who come to the library, and with the users in mind, how I can make our resources and spaces accessible, usable, easily discoverable, and simply enjoyable to use!  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
