Hey Folks! I\u2019m Rae Eggleston (they\/them) and I am the Web Coordinator for UXSG @ SJSU iSchool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My undergraduate degree is in Graphic Design, but I wanted to do more with my education and I have always been interested in User Experience ever since I found out that it existed. I love libraries, reading, and the exchange of information and ideas, so combining my love of the arts and my love of libraries seemed natural!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I am typically the person that people come to when they want the answer to a question, and so I am happy to be joining this unique group of students that shares my love of knowledge and my passion
for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am in my second year of the MLIS program. My hope is to eventually complete a PhD in Library and Information Science, and to specialize in the study of UX Research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My primary focus in web design is accessibility, as I believe that there should be equal opportunity to the internet and to information, no matter what your condition or circumstances may be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as hobbies, I love anime, video games, science fiction, and fantasy. I\u2019m not currently reading anything but I have a pile of books that need to be read when I\u2019m not doing homework. Ultimately, I usually end up playing Stardew Valley or Civilization VI in my free time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Currently I live in Denver, Colorado, and moved here in May of 2023. I am still getting to know the area, but am excited to see what sorts of events are available, such as Meow Wolf or concerts at Red Rocks.

I love music, and the arts are still a large part of my life, even if I don\u2019t always directly participate in them. I would like to think that UX is an art in its own right; a discipline that is dynamic and ever-changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
