SLIS SLA Student Chapter Meeting, Monday, February 17th at 6:00 pm PST"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>Dear students,<\/h5>\n<p>The\u00a0<b>SLIS SLA Student Group\u00a0<\/b>invites you to join us for our next Meeting this\u00a0<a href=\"file:\/\/localhost\/x-apple-data-detectors\/::0\">coming\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"file:\/\/localhost\/x-apple-data-detectors\/::0\"><b>Monday, February 17<\/b><\/a><a href=\"file:\/\/localhost\/x-apple-data-detectors\/::0\"><b><sup>th<\/sup><\/b><\/a><a href=\"file:\/\/localhost\/x-apple-data-detectors\/::0\"><b>\u00a0at 6:00 pm<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0(PST) via Collaborate<\/b>. We are discussing the projects we have in development. If you would like to help us continue to develop our Student Group and get involved, please join us for this important meeting. We are enthusiastically seeking creative members to develop or to help us with a variety tasks, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create an SLIS SLA Student Group logo, or alternatively, organize a Subcommittee to run a logo-creation contest<\/li>\n<li>Develop a procedure to reach out to local SLA chapters in collaboration with our Group\u2019s Membership Committee.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Create a network for different areas of special librarianship (i.e. medical, law, archives).<\/li>\n<li>Create a Subcommittee and procedure to maintain and update the Group\u2019s membership list in collaboration with our Group\u2019s Membership Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Create a Facebook Subcommittee and procedure to continue to develop and monitor the Group\u2019s Facebook page in collaboration with our Group\u2019s Social Media Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note:\u00a0<b>All of SLIS SLA webinars and meetings are closed captioned<\/b>.
