The Membership Team is responsible for outreach from the SLIP email account including post-event emails, new member notifications, and contacting potential members, and management of the SLIP email inbox.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Membership Director\u2019s responsibilities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Updating EC at the monthly EC meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing the Mentorship program including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recruiting mentors and mentees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advertising the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Answering any questions about the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training Assistant and Second Assistant Directors on the program duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with Communications Committee on alumni relations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring the SLIP email inbox:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sending out welcome emails to new members, post-program emails to event participants, emails encouraging students who signed up for a complementary SLIP membership to become SLIP members, and\u00a0communicating with potential EC applicants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to any questions, concerns, or suggestions received via email or the Contact Us form on the webpage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping the inbox organized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping the Membership folder on the Google Drive organized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping meeting notes for membership meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recruiting and onboard new EC members:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advertising open positions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing voting in applicants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notifying new EC members and connecting them with their committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drafting and sending newsletter to current SLIP members using MailPoet.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternating months with the Assistant Director if there is one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making sure the Second Assistant Director has the opportunity to create a newsletter at least once a semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and overseeing the Assistant Membership Director and Second Assistant Membership Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/slasc\/about\/vacant-positions\/\">Return to Vacant Positions Page<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Membership Team is responsible for the administration and delegation of access to the SLIP email account, running the mentorship program, and running EC elections.
