She works as an Education Technology Designer for a higher education company, and has created a number of interactive multimedia projects for an online academic library. Jamie has also been a research and analysis librarian for Qualcomm, a mobile technology company. Prior to earning her MLIS from San Jose State University in 2014, Jamie worked in academic and public libraries. She serves as the current president of the San Diego Chapter of the Special Libraries Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Scott Brown<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u2013 SJSU Instructor and Senior Cybrarian at Oracle<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2783\" src=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/slasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2013aiip-headshot-271Small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/slasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2013aiip-headshot-271Small-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/slasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2013aiip-headshot-271Small-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Scott Brown is a Senior Cybrarian at Oracle, Inc. In his role, he works with strategic teams and initiatives across the company to make better decisions with information. Scott has a strong background of research and information work in high-tech settings, having previously worked at Fortune 500 companies Qualcomm and Sun Microsystems. He has also run his own consulting company with a focus on competitive intelligence and using social media for both finding and sharing information. He is the author of \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/csu-sjsu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/01CALS_SJO\/tu4ck5\/alma991067617479302901\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Information: Gaining competitive and business advantage using social media tools<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, published in 2012. He also serves as adjunct faculty with the iSchool at San Jose State University in California, and teaches regularly for other information science programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has over 20 years of experience in corporate, public, and academic library and information settings. He received his Masters of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University in California, and his Masters in Community Counseling from Regis University in Colorado. He is an SLA Fellow, with 10+ years supporting the Competitive Intelligence Division.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Anne Barker<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Information Specialist in the Legal Department at Genentech<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2778 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/slasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Anne-Barker-profile-e1551289968300-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Anne N. Barker is an Information Specialist in the Legal Department at Genentech, a biotechnology company in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she specializes in patent, litigation, and pharmaceutical pipeline research and analysis. After spending 10 years learning the language of patents at a law firm, she made the move \u201cin-house\u201d in 2015 which allowed her to capitalize on her patent knowledge while learning yet another new language in biotech. Anne completed her MLIS from San Jose State University in 2005, and received her B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University as a double major in English and Theatre Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A member of SLA since 2001, Anne has been active in a variety of roles, most recently serving as Treasurer of the Leadership &amp; Management Division and on the Annual Conference Advisory Council for the upcoming Annual Conference in Cleveland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the last 18 years, Anne has served her home chapter (San Francisco Bay Area) as Awards Committee Chair (2016), Academic Relations Committee Chair (2015), President-Elect, President, Past President (2012-2014), Secretary (2009-2010), Government Relations Chair (2006-2012), and on the Academic Relations Committee (2015 Chair, 2003-2005). She has also held positions as Chair of SLA\u2019s Nominating Committee for the 2016 election, Director of Membership for the Government Information Division (2011), and on SLA\u2019s Public Policy Advisory Council (2009-2011) and Student and Academic Relations Committee (2002-2003).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her \u201cfree\u201d time, Anne is a budding glass blower, a raccoon rehabilitator (physically and reputationally speaking), and a cider enthusiast.
