We see the role of the librarian, fundamentally, as one of service to all. The SLASC strives to promote diversity, inclusion, and connection among students and across the world of special librarianship. We aim to provide leadership learning opportunities for our members, including enabling and encouraging clear communication. It is our intention to aid in the development of practical skills for future careers in special library work, and to cultivate meaningful, lasting, connections among members and the broader special
