As one of the oldest all-female institutions, its three repositories &#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smith College Archives, the <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.smith.edu\/special-collections\/sophia-smith-collection-womens-history\">Sophia Smith Collection of Women\u2019s History<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.smith.edu\/special-collections\/mortimer-rare-book-collection\">Mortimer Rare Book Collection<\/a> &#8211; are uniquely contextualized to tell the story of women in America.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A highlight of the collection is <a href=\"https:\/\/findingaids.smith.edu\/repositories\/3\/resources\/1282\">Sylvia Plath\u2019s typewriter<\/a> as well as an elm plank that was used as her writing desk.
