Books are an exciting form of media that suddenly open a new world as soon as a child learns to read. An homage to the children\u2019s literature of the past that helped to spark the creativity and love of learning for millions of children is the <a href=\"https:\/\/ufdc.ufl.edu\/collections\/juv\">Baldwin Library of Historical Children&#8217;s Literature<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Housed at the University of Florida, the Baldwin Library of Historical Children\u2019s Literature includes more than 115,000 items from the 1600s to the present day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From books to manuscripts, original artwork, and other ephemera.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3818\" src=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Hans-Christian-Andersen-202x300.jpeg\" alt=\"Hans Christian Andersen\" width=\"202\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Hans-Christian-Andersen-202x300.jpeg 202w, https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Hans-Christian-Andersen.jpeg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 202px) 100vw, 202px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some interesting finds include traditional Hans Christian Anderson editions as well as some comparative versions of Alice in Wonderland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3819\" src=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/AIW--221x300.jpeg\" alt=\"Alice in Wonderland\" width=\"221\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/AIW--221x300.jpeg 221w, https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/AIW-.jpeg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the Baldwin Library is mainly a physical repository, it established an online presence in 2021.
