Dream of getting published?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Serif'; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The Society of American Archivists Student Chapter is looking for contributors to the Fall 2021 issue of <em>Archeota<\/em>, our open access digital publication written BY students, FOR students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Serif'; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Reach out to us now and share your idea for an article! Unsure of what to write about? We can help!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Serif'; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Please <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">share your ideas<\/span> with us <strong>before September 27<\/strong>. Once your article is <em>pre-approved<\/em>, the <strong>submission deadline is October 25<\/strong>. Send an email to our managing editor Kelli Roisman at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">kelli.roisman@sjsu.edu<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Serif'; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">We publish a wide variety of content on issues and events connected with the world of archives with a <strong>typical article length of 800-1000 words<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Submission ideas must be pre-approved by the <em>Archeota<\/em> editorial team.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Articles are generally 800-1,000 words in length, unless otherwise approved by the <em>Archeota<\/em> editorial team.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">All work submitted should be original and abide by U.S. copyright law and standards. All work submitted is subject to an originality checker as a form of accountability. If we are unsatisfied with the results of the checker we will not include the material in <em>Archeota<\/em>. However, originality and adherence to all appropriate laws and standards is the responsibility of the author.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Articles may not be published in print or digital form (blogs, social media, etc.) elsewhere either prior to or after publication in <em>Archeota<\/em>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Contributors must provide the editors with a copy of any work that has been submitted for coursework or other purpose. The editors will review and make suggestions on how the piece may be adapted for publication in <em>Archeota<\/em>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Editorial rights: SJSU SAASC reserves the right to edit any submissions by making corrections, omitting material, rearranging, or making other revisions. If the revisions are extensive, the editorial team will work with the author to prepare the manuscript for publication.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">All images must be sourced. Image files should be a minimum of 300 dpi resolution.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">References should be cited in APA format.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">SJSU SAASC reserves the right to exclude any content from <em>Archeota<\/em>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Serif'; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">For more information on <em>Archeota<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/saasc\/about-submission-requirements\/\">submissions<\/a>, visit our website.
