The Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship

The Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship is open to current graduate students in Library and Information Science (MLIS), living in Los Angeles County, with an academic or archival focus. We will be awarding one Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The chapter will also sponsor the winner’s REFORMA student membership for the year.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

Currently attend or have been accepted to an ALA-accredited institution

Be bilingual (Spanish/English) and/or identify as Latino/a/x as well as be committed to working with the Latino community

Plan a career with an emphasis in academic libraries or archives.

One year commitment to Reforma LA Chapter (attending meetings & events, sharing chapter information, joining a committee etc.)

Complete the Scholarship Application form by Friday, April 2, 2021, 11:59pm(PST).
