Mission

iSchool Connext fosters connections between students and alumni of the SJSU iSchool program through communications, events, and programs open to all students and alumni in order to promote scholarly and professional development and achievement.

Vision

To build an inclusive and supportive community of students and alumni with lifelong connections to one another and to SJSU iSchool through events and collaborative activities that enrich their scholarly and professional careers.

Goals

• Maintain a visible presence and engages with the SJSU iSchool community through our blog and social media channels on a regular basis.
• Present frequent online programs for all students and alumni in a geographically dispersed iSchool community to participate in.
• Sponsors in-person meet-ups or events at major LIS conferences or in locations and communities where iSchool students or alumni are concentrated several times per year to facilitate professional networking.
