SLISConnect Wants You!
SLISConnect is only as good as the students and alums who participate in our events. Whether that’s joining in on Banned Book Week readouts, sharing our Facebook posts or writing blog posts for your fellow SLISers’ reading pleasure, we need you! As a way to keep the conversation going throughout the year, we’re introducing monthly topics for our blog posts. Of course it is your blog so you don’t have to stick to the theme–write about anything SLIS-related and we’ll post it!–we just thought it might help to have some inspiration.
This month’s theme is taking the distance out of distance learning. As distance learning students, we all know that nontraditional programs have their pros and they have their cons. What do you like about remote learning? What do you dislike? Be sure to share any best practices for fellow students who are still trying to figure out the best approach!
Interested in contributing (we hope you are!)? It’s simple and your post can be as long or short as you’d like it to be! Send your post–a Word document will do just fine–complete with a title and a short author’s bio to miller.laura.nicole@gmail.com. If you have any images that you’d like to include, provide them in .jpg or .gif format as attachments.

What’s SLISConnect? Glad you asked. SLISConnect fosters connections between students and alumni of the SJSU SLIS program through communications, events, and programs open to all students and alumni in order to promote scholarly and professional development and achievement.
