<\/p>\n The Member of the Year Award (or the MOTY’s as I will forever call them) honors a SLIS student who has participated in ALASC initiatives and events and demonstrates support for ALASC\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n WHO CAN APPLY:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Any current SLIS student who has participated in any ALA or ALASC event during <\/p>\n HOW TO APPLY:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Submit a letter of self-nomination that answers the following items:<\/p>\n 1.\u00a0 What ALA and\/or ALASC events did you attend (online or in person)?<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0 What ALASC service or communication tool (webcasts, social media, campaigns, etc.) 3.\u00a0 ALASC\u2019s mission is found at http:\/\/slisgroups.sjsu.edu\/alasc\/about.shtml. \nAll nominations will be reviewed by the ALASC board and a winner will be selected by May 10th. The winner will be presented a certificate at the ALASC Reception on May 18th (the winner does not need to be present at the reception), will receive a $20 Amazon gift card, and will be announced via the ALASC website and chapter blog.<\/p>\n
