We are excited to announce that we are looking to involve you in our chapter blog! Love to write? Passionate about a certain library topic? We want to hear from you! This post is a call for guest bloggers for a one-off piece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have something you\u2019ve always wanted the world to know about regarding LIS, here\u2019s your chance! We\u2019re also interested in any alumni that would be willing to write about their experience in the field. Also, any hobbies that you can apply your LIS knowledge to, or niche LIS related topics are also appreciated! Some examples include but are not limited to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preservation work in archives or museums<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alumni working in any sector relating to information professionals<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Important historical or current figures\/movements in the library science or achieves field\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cataloging for movie studios or other nonstandard environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Local or regional conference experiences<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working in special libraries i.e. zine libraries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anything you find interesting or important in the MLIS field<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our theme for the Fall 2026 semester is \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reclaiming History<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Celebrating figures, groups, and narratives that have shaped our libraries but have often been excluded from mainstream discussions.\u201d If you have an idea that fits into this theme, please don\u2019t hesitate to email us! If you have an idea that doesn\u2019t, please still email us!
