Students will participate in discussions and activities to further our understanding of diversity and inclusion and how to apply this knowledge in our careers in the field of library and information science. We\u2019ll learn how we can foster a sense of belonging for people of diverse ethnicity, age, gender, and beyond, in a welcoming environment. Together we can work as change agents to address the challenges of today\u2019s society and better serve our diverse communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tina McPherson is Business Faculty and Librarian at Bryant &amp; Stratton College, Richmond campus. She earned her Master of Library Science degree from the University of North Texas in 2012. Tina\u2019s teaching philosophy is driven by her passion and interest in helping students gain the self-efficacy and habit of mind they need in their education, careers, and personal lives to improve and be lifelong learners. She gave a presentation on \u201cLibraries as Contributors to Community Resilience\u201d at the SJSU-sponsored Library 2.0 conference on Sustainability in Libraries in October 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Questions?
