The\u00a0SJSU\u00a02017\u00a0Open\u00a0Access\u00a0Conference (#SJSUOA2017)\u00a0schedule of speakers and presenters has been finalized:\u00a0http:\/\/scholarworks.sjsu.edu\/oa-un-conference\/2017_program\/<\/a>.\u00a0This year’s presentations will interrogate the theme\u00a0(<\/i>Re)Placing\u00a0Open: Assessing the Current OA Landscape<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Registration<\/a>\u00a0is only $40 and will include breakfast, lunch, and afternoon refreshments.\u00a0 King Library is conveniently located in downtown San Jose (see\u00a0http:\/\/www.sjsu.edu\/about_sjsu\/visiting\/index.html<\/a>\u00a0for traveling information).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Charlotte Roh (University of San Francisco) will kick off the morning with our opening talk about\u00a0open\u00a0access\u00a0gains and continued existing barriers.\u00a0 We have a diverse group of presenters and topics.\u00a0 A\u00a0number of California State University (CSU) campuses, University of California San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, Worldreader, and the CSU Chancellor’s Office are among the presenters’ institution affiliations.\u00a0 The day will conclude with John Wenzler (CSU East Bay) who will consider the paradox of scholarly communication in the digital age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
