The best part of this experience is the community the writers have with each other and our readers.\u00a0 Unfortunately, because we\u2019re a blog by and for students, eventually we have to move on to bigger and better things (like graduation and full-time professional gigs).\u00a0 The good news for all of you is that we\u2019re looking for a new group of dedicated students who would like to be regular contributors here.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking for people who are enthusiastic, skilled writers who have backgrounds and specialties that we\u2019re currently lacking at HLS.\u00a0 We\u2019re looking for a diverse group of writers: diversity of experience, professional interests, and opinions.\u00a0 We strive to critically engage with topics and we\u2019re not afraid of \u201cstirring the pot\u201d\u2013and we hope you aren\u2019t either!<\/p>\n<p>We ask that only writers who are graduating in May 2017 or later should apply. We want our writers to have at least one academic year with Hack Library School so that everyone can have a positive and fulfilling experience.<\/p>\n<p>HLS writers currently post about once per month in addition to our weekly roundups on Fridays.\u00a0New writers will get paired up with a mentor (an HLS \u201calumni\u201d) to help with your\u00a0first few posts and generally ease your nerves.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in regularly contributing to the blog, please send us an email to hacklibschool [at] gmail [dot] com with the following application materials by<strong>\u00a0February 14, 2016<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A brief bio.<\/li>\n<li>Your school and anticipated graduation date.<\/li>\n<li>Your professional interests and 2-3 topics that you would like to write about.<\/li>\n<li>A writing sample, if possible.\u00a0 This does not need to be formal.\u00a0 Feel free to link us to a personal blog, a paragraph of a paper, etc. We just like to get a feel for your writing style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are a recent graduate or can\u2019t commit to being a regular contributor, please consider writing a guest post for us!
